CT1015 – Founding Operations Associate (Location: New York - In Office)

Location: New York, NY (In-Office) | 5 days/week
Job Type: Full Time
Years of Experience: 0–2 years preferred (up to 4 years considered)

About Our Client

Our client is a YC-backed AI healthcare startup taking on a large, service-heavy industry. In its first year the company reached seven figures in revenue, put its platform in the hands of 100+ universities, and is growing on all-inbound demand — a rare combination of early-stage upside and real traction. This is a founding opportunity with meaningful early equity and a clear runway ahead.

Position Overview

This is the company's first dedicated Operations hire — a true founding seat. You'll own the operational backbone of the business: customer support and onboarding, CRM management, process improvement, and workflow automation, while building the operational infrastructure the team needs as it scales. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders and flex across Customer Success, GTM, and Operations. It's a high-ownership, high-autonomy role for someone who wants to build the function, not inherit one.

Core Skills

  • Early-stage startup experience (<100 employees)

  • Operations, Business Operations, or Customer Success background

  • Technical mindset — comfortable with automation and AI tools (Zapier/Make a plus)

  • Daily user of ChatGPT/Claude

  • Strong ownership and high agency

  • Thrives in ambiguity

  • Customer-facing experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

What You'll Own

  • Customer support and onboarding for new users

  • CRM management and data hygiene

  • Process improvement across the business

  • Workflow automation to remove manual work

  • Building the operational infrastructure the company runs on

  • Supporting Customer Success, GTM, and Operations as the team scales

Who Thrives in This Role

  • You're high-agency. Whether as a founder, athlete, competitor, or through standout extracurriculars, you're used to owning outcomes without being told how.

  • You build where there's no playbook. Ambiguity reads as opportunity, not a blocker.

  • You're technical by instinct. You reach for automation and AI tools to make things run better, not just faster.

  • You move between the details and the big picture. You can answer a support ticket and redesign the process that generated it.

  • You want to be in the room. You're energized by a fast-paced founding team and 5 days a week alongside them in New York.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience (up to 4 years considered)

  • Current title in Operations, Business Operations, Customer Success, Founder's Associate, or Strategy & Operations

  • Experience at an early-stage, VC-backed startup (<100 employees)

  • NYC-based and able to work in-office 5 days/week

  • Strong academic background — a top university is a plus, especially for recent grads

  • Comfortable with AI tools and workflow automation

  • Technical degree a plus, but not required

  • Authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship available)

  • Open to relocation candidates (relocation assistance not provided)

What's Offered

  • Competitive base salary and meaningful equity in a fast-growing, revenue-generating startup

  • A true founding seat with significant ownership and autonomy

  • Direct access to and daily collaboration with the founders

  • A fast-paced, high-agency team environment where your work shapes how the company scales

If you're an operator who wants to build a function from scratch — and be in the room while a category-defining company takes off — we'd love to hear from you.
