About Our Client

An AI-powered Revenue Cycle Management platform transforming how practices manage insurance, claims, payments, and bookkeeping. Seed-stage, the company is backed by strong investors and has built a profitable marketplace model already operating across multiple states. The team is building the next generation of financial operations software with agentic AI at its core.

Position Overview

This is a frontend-focused full-stack engineer role where you'll own features end-to-end—from UI and component design through API integration and deployment. The majority of your time (80%) goes to building intuitive, fast-moving frontends for a new AI-powered product, with 20% contributing to an existing marketplace. You'll work directly with product and business stakeholders to translate complex customer problems into simple, high-quality product experiences.

Core Skills

  • Strong frontend fundamentals and React/TypeScript expertise

  • Full-stack engineering with genuine UI depth (not backend-heavy with minimal frontend experience)

  • Backend experience, ideally Python/FastAPI

  • End-to-end product ownership and architectural decision-making

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, marketplace, payments/billing, insurance, or healthcare software

  • Strong attention to product quality and implementation details

What You'll Own

  • Frontend architecture: Build intuitive, performant UIs using React and TypeScript for a complex AI workflow product.

  • Full-stack features: Own features end-to-end from component design and state management through API integration and deployment.

  • Backend contribution: Develop backend APIs and data models using Python/FastAPI, with hands-on involvement in the full development lifecycle.

  • Product decisions: Translate customer problems and feedback into clean technical and architectural decisions.

  • Code quality: Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and engineering standards while mentoring other engineers.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • Frontend-native builder: You are genuinely strong on the frontend with deep UI fundamentals—not a backend engineer trying to learn the frontend.

  • Full-stack thinker: You can move fluidly between frontend and backend and make smart architectural choices across the stack.

  • Product-minded: You care deeply about product quality and are driven to understand the user problem before writing code.

  • Autonomous: You can own a feature or system with minimal hand-holding and take initiative on ambiguous problems.

  • Learner: You're comfortable with AI coding tools and actively use them as part of your development workflow.

Qualifications

  • 6 to 12 years of software engineering experience (up to 15 years considered)

  • Proven expertise in React and TypeScript in production environments

  • Strong full-stack capability with genuine depth on the frontend

  • Hands-on experience building features in B2B SaaS, marketplace, payments, billing, insurance, or healthcare

  • Ability to work hybrid in New York, 3 days onsite per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)

  • US work authorization required (not open to visa sponsorship)

What's Offered

  • Work on a product solving complex financial operations problems with AI

  • Hybrid setup in New York (3 days onsite in Flatiron)

  • Frontend-focused role with autonomy to shape product direction

  • Opportunity to own features end-to-end at a company building real traction

  • Flat team with direct access to founders and core product stakeholders

If you're a frontend-strong full-stack engineer with a track record of owning complex features and translating customer problems into clean product experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
