About Our Client

Our client is an AI research company building an agentic platform that automates construction workflows across design, engineering, cost estimation, vendor management, and operations. In under two years of active customer engagement, the company has executed projects representing billions in cumulative portfolio value across the U.S. and internationally. The team is approximately 30 people — a high-ownership, ground-floor environment where individual contributors have significant impact and deals are moving fast.

Position Overview

This is a full-cycle, outbound-heavy Account Executive role focused on selling an AI-powered platform into mid-market construction companies and heavy-industry organizations. The AE manages a high-volume pipeline from qualified discovery through close — running discovery calls, product demos, proposals, negotiations, and follow-ups with construction and manufacturing decision makers.

Sales cycles range from a few weeks to approximately two months. The AE partners with SDR and Marketing to convert inbound and outbound leads into qualified opportunities, manages CRM activity and forecasting, and works with Customer Success post-close to support retention and identify expansion. The role includes travel to trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.

Key Skills

  • B2B technology or software sales directly to construction companies or general contractors

  • Full-cycle sales — discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, close

  • High-volume outbound and cold-calling discipline

  • Mid-market deal management and pipeline forecasting

  • Consultative selling of technical or platform products

  • CRM proficiency (HubSpot and/or Salesforce preferred)

Role Priorities

  • Manage a high-volume outbound pipeline from discovery through close.

  • Sell an AI-powered platform to construction and heavy-industry decision makers.

  • Conduct discovery calls, product demos, proposals, negotiations, and consistent follow-up.

  • Partner with SDR and Marketing to convert inbound and outbound leads into qualified opportunities.

  • Maintain CRM hygiene, pipeline health, and accurate sales forecasting.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.

  • Partner with Customer Success post-sale to drive retention and identify expansion opportunities.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • You've sold software directly into construction. You know the buyer, understand the workflow problems, and can credibly present a technical product to a general contractor or construction executive.

  • You are an outbound-first rep. Your pipeline is built through your own activity — cold calls, warm outreach, and consistent follow-up — not a handed-over funnel.

  • You run the full cycle. From first call through signed contract, you own every stage and are comfortable managing complexity across multiple deals simultaneously.

  • You thrive in early-stage environments. Small teams, fast decisions, and an evolving product are energizing to you — not frustrating.

  • You want to represent a category-defining product. You're drawn to the opportunity to bring a genuinely new technology to an industry that is ready for it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business within mid-market construction and heavy-industry companies.

  • Conduct discovery calls, product demonstrations, proposals, and contract negotiations.

  • Build and maintain a high-volume sales pipeline with accurate CRM hygiene.

  • Partner with SDR and Marketing to develop and convert inbound and outbound opportunities.

  • Travel to client meetings, trade shows, and regional industry events.

  • Collaborate with Customer Success to drive retention and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of B2B technology or software sales experience; up to 10 years considered for highly relevant candidates.

  • Must have sold directly to construction companies or general contractors — this is a required background.

  • Full-cycle sales experience: discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and close.

  • Comfortable in a high-volume, outbound-heavy sales environment.

  • Experience managing and forecasting a pipeline of mid-market deals.

  • SF/Bay Area candidates preferred; remote candidates must be available to work from the SF office during the first week of each month.

  • Open to visa transfers including OPT and H-1B.

What's Offered

  • Competitive base salary and commission structure.

  • Comprehensive benefits package.

  • High-ownership role at an early-stage company with proven global market traction.

  • Opportunity to travel and represent the company at industry events.

  • Visa transfer support available.

If you're a full-cycle B2B seller with a track record of closing construction or heavy-industry software deals and want a high-ownership role at an early-stage AI company with real momentum, we'd love to hear from you.
